Practice Session:
Michael Allan/Whitworth: Did not
practice as fast as he timed (4.72/4.67). Though he caught the ball well
Allan as not quick off the line and ran poor routes.
Kevin Boss/Western Oregon: Boss
looked good in practice running solid routes, adjusting to the ball and
displaying good hands. He also practiced faster than he timed in the
forty.
Scott Chandler/Iowa: Showing
natural hands, Chandler caught everything that was thrown in his direction.
That said his lack of speed was evident and Chandler ran poor routes.
Daniel Coats/BYU: Coats is as slow
as his forty times would suggest (5.07/5.02) yet he did a good job catching the
ball and worked hard throughout the session.
Jonny Harline/BYU: Harline
displayed good hands and the ability to snatch the pass from the air. The
problem was his routes were poor and he also practiced much slower than he ran
in the forty.
Zach Miller/Arizona St: Today was the
worst scenario Miller could've imagined. After two terribly slow 40's his
workout was not much better. Miller dropped a lot of catchable throws, ran
bad routes and looked lost at times.
Martrez Milner/Georgia: As was the
case at the Senior Bowl Milner showed a lot of flashes all day. Looking
very natural and athletic, he caught the deep ball well and generally displayed
solid hands.
Greg Olson/Miami-Fl: Far and away
the best performer of the day. After two scorching 40's, Olson looked
great during the session. Displaying both soft and strong hands, Olson was
very natural in all his actions and also ran good routes. His blocking
strength must improve though.
Ben Patrick/Delaware: Patrick caught the
ball very well but practiced slow and was chided several times for poor blocking
techniques.
Anthony Pudewell/Nevada: Not much
could save Pudewell's day after his poor times in the forty. His pass
catching workout was inconsistent.
Gijon Robinson/Missouri Western: Robinson
displayed soft, natural hands, catching most everything thrown in his direction.
He did not show the speed to run to the deep ball.
Derek Schouman/Boise State: Schouman
was very inconsistent catching the ball after good times in the forty.
