Bolded teams are the projected winners
Atlanta at Jacksonville - The Jaguars are better both on paper and on
the field. They're not going to lose a second home game in this young season.
Buffalo at Pittsburgh - A home victory, but it won't be easy.
Hard-luck Bills play hard, but don't have the depth or the offensive firepower.
Cincinnati at Cleveland - The Bengals dominated the Browns in '06, and
I see no reason that their '07 matchup will be any different.
Green Bay at NY Giants - Lots of holes on this Giants squad but even
without some key personnel, I like their chances versus the Pack.
Houston at Carolina - Panthers appear to have too much firepower for
the new-look Texans. Look for the Panthers to shut down the Texans' run game.
Indianapolis at Tennessee - Indy has not forgotten their Week 13 loss
to the Titans last season. Peyton gives the champs a huge advantage.
New Orleans at Tampa Bay - Expect Brees to rebound from a
disappointing season opener versus Indy, and for Saints DEs to put plenty of
pressure on Tampa Bay QB Jeff Garcia.
San Francisco at St. Louis - Both squads were unimpressive in season
openers. I look for "Monday night blues" to be the difference in this
Rams victory.
Dallas at Miami - Expect the Cowboys to play better defensively and
have to much talent on offense for the Dolphins.
Minnesota at Detroit - I'm going to say it just one more time, this Lions squad is for real
folks! Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson is not yet ready to engage in a shootout with
the Lions' passing game.
Seattle at Arizona - It was frightening to see just how bad the
Cardinals looked Monday night. A short week doesn't make it any easier, but they
should keep it close at home.
Kansas City at Chicago - I see the Chiefs as having absolutely no
chance versus the Monsters of the Midway. Even with their lack of offensive
punch, I see this as the Bears winning in a rout.
NY Jets at Baltimore - Even if the Jets were to steal their signs,
look for the Ravens defense to totally shut down the Jets offense.
Oakland at Denver - Broncos coach Mike Shanahan has never forgiven
Raiders owner Al Davis for his 1989 firing and points to this match up each
season.
San Diego at New England - Chargers have been pointing to this game
since April. Distractions will play a major part in this week's upset special.
Washington at Philadelphia - Expect McNabb and the special teams play
to improve significantly in Week 2. The Skins' tough, young defensive unit will
keep them in this contest.
