2007 Power Rankings: Week 3
  TW LW Team Comments
1 (2) Patriots
(2-0)
Clearly the best club in the league on both sides of the football. QB has been absolutely money after two contests.
2 (3) Colts
(2-0)
Potential AFC championship game versus New England should be a dandy.
3  (4) Cowboys
(2-0)
Don't believe they have hit their stride on the defensive side of the ball, but watch out when they do.
 (1) Chargers
(1-1)
Ran into a buzzsaw in New England and look to rebound on the road versus Green Bay.
5  (5) Bears
(1-1)
Defense and special teams are carrying the full load, but they're not playing the Chiefs this week
(12) Steelers
(2-0)
Same old Steelers -- don't turn it over, run the football, and play big-time defense.
(8) Broncos
(2-0)
The Broncos are very tough at home, but have struggled versus two second-level opponents.
(7) Bengals
(1-1)
Looked like an Arena II game last week. Carson Palmer's on fire, running the most dangerous offense in the game.
(11) Ravens
(1-1)
Offense needs to play with more consistency. Defense is a no-nonsense unit that is particularly tough at home.
10  (16) Lions
(2-0)
Two down and eight to go, Jon Kitna. Team has stepped up and responded to adverse situations.
11  (18) Packers
(2-0)
Packers have won ugly, beating two winless opponents, but they all count. Not enough offensive continuity and consistency.
12  (9) Seahawks
(1-1)
Second-half comeback showed me something about Seattle. A solid football team, but can they put teams away?
13  (21) 49ers
(2-0)
Have stepped up and made some plays on the offensive side of the ball while defense has bent, but has not broken.
14  (20) Texans
(2-0)
The Texans have fans in the Lone Star State excited, but I'm not ready to award them the Lombardi Trophy yet.
15  (15) Jaguars
(1-1)
Trademark defense has kept them alive in the first two weeks. Jags have limitations at both the QB and WR positions.
16  (17) Titans
(1-1)
Best-coached club in football is doing it with mirrors. Quarterback play has improved, but still a long way to go.
17  (19) Vikings
(1-1)
Young Vikings squad went into overtime despite a horrendous showing from second-year QB Tarvaris Jackson.
18  (10) Panthers
(1-1)
Hot-and-cold Panthers experienced one of those down weekends. Steve Smith is the league's best wide receiver.
19  (13) Rams
(0-2)
No excuse for losing two at home. Protection problems on offense, and the defense can't stop the run.
20  (6) Saints
(0-2)
Saints have underachieved on both sides of the ball. Their play through the first two games has been less effective then FEMA.
21  (23) Bills
(0-2)
Have to open up the offense and take some chances if they want to avoid a lopsided loss to the Patriots this week.
22  (14) Eagles
(0-2)
Poor performance by Donovan McNabb on Monday night. Underachieving team needs to turn things around quickly.
23  (25) Redskins
(2-0)
Big victory over a disappointing Eagles squad was a big surprise. Injuries along the offensive line could be huge.
24  (27) Buccaneers
(1-1)
Jeff Garcia is moving around like he's on a caffeine overload. Love his energy, but Bucs don't have many offensive weapons.
25  (24) Jets
(0-2)
Time for a change at the quarterback position. Protection problems. And can anyone out there catch the football?
26  (28) Cardinals
(1-1)
After getting off to a great start, the Cardinals were handed a late-game gift by the Seahawks. They still have a long way to go.
27  (22) Giants
(0-2)
Defense has been non-existent. Don't see how Tom Coughlin can save this sinking ship.
28  (32) Browns
(1-1)
Offense gave Browns a big lift versus cross-state rival Bengals, but that defense couldn't stop the Little Sisters of The Poor.
29  (31) Raiders
(0-2)
Hard-luck Raiders have improved on both sides of the ball. How they respond to OT loss will tell a lot about their character.
30  (26) Dolphins
(0-2)
Dolphin's offensive woes continue. Green is going to have to elevate his game a great deal if they are to have a chance.
31  (30) Chiefs
(0-2)
A prime example that you can't win in this league without a QB. Just don't see a lot of wins for the remainder of the schedule.
32  (29) Falcons
(0-2)
Bad and getting worse by the minute. I almost feel sorry for Joey Harrington. No protection or pass receivers.
