Flash Analysis |
The Cardinals selected Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie with the 16th
overall pick. The Cardinals opted to go with the best ball-hawker on
the board. He will replace Antrel Rolle who Arizona announced will
move to safety next season. The Cardinals corners combined for just
11 interceptions last season and five were Rolle's. If
Rodgers-Cromartie plays anything like his cousin he should be able to
match that number by himself. - Amberly Richardson - AzRedReport.com

Adam Caplan's Take |
Arizona was going to select either a running back or cornerback with this selection. With the team moving Antrel Rolle to safety, cornerback became a major need for the defense. Rodgers-Cromartie has a ton of upside but is also a bit raw while still being very athletic.
