Flash Analysis |
Rashard Mendenhall gives the Steelers the perfect complement to Fast Willie Parker with his inside power. But Mendenhall also has the speed to take it the distance, as evidenced by his big run in the Rose Bowl against USC. This guy is Barry Foster II. Hopefully he likes football a bit more than Foster did.
With seven offensive tackles off the board, the picks makes sense to Steelers fans, who will no doubt enjoy the star factor that Mendenhall will bring with him to Pittsburgh. - Jim Wexell, Steel City Insider

Adam Caplan's Take |
Pittsburgh was looking for a power back who could handle a lot of work in their power rushing attach. The combination of Mendenhall's power and Willie Parker's speed will be hard to stop and they could instantly become one of the best one-two running back duos in the league.
