Flash Analysis |
The Bears continue their rebuilding process on offense, adding a powerful and productive young running back to go along with a potential franchise left tackle in Chris Williams. While Cedric Benson has been a disappointment three years into his career and isn't much of a factor on third down, Forte catches the ball very well out of the backfield and is a willing blocker in the passing game. Neither Adrian Peterson or Garrett Wolfe is capable of challenging Benson for the starting job, but perhaps Forte can. - John Crist, Bear Report

Adam Caplan's Take |
No surprise here as Chicago was looking for a big back that would fit their power rushing philosophy. Forte moved well up draft boards after a great week of Senior Bowl practices and he didn't disappoint at the combine. He'll push struggling starting RB Cedric Benson for playing time right away.
