Flash Analysis |
Well, at Pick 48 I think it is safe to say the Redskins shocked their entire Fan Base. Now, Fred Davis was the ONLY Five Star rated Tight End in this draft per Scout.com rankings. Perhaps the team plans on running a lot of 2 TE sets or they view him as splitting out in a 4 WR set or something. But when you have Chris Cooley, and you have needs on the lines, the pick is a bit shocking. But they got a good player, so fans shouldn't be TOO upset. - George Lafoon, Warpath Insiders

Adam Caplan's Take |
While Davis may a good value here, he isn't known for his blocking and with Chris Cooley already installed as the starter, this pick is rather curious.
