Flash Analysis |
The Arizona Cardinals continue to add weapons to their new 3-4 defense
with the second-round selection of DE Calais Campbell. He has the
pro-typical size (6'7", 290) of a 3-4 defense end. He's big enough to
hold up on the point of attack, but has enough speed and athleticism
to go off the edge. Campbell holds up great against the run, which
will help provide Arizona's defense with some balance. With the
addition of Campbell and DE Bryan Robinson, the Cardinals now have the
depth that defensive line coach Ron Aiken has been vying for. Campbell
will also give the Cardinals some leverage if Darnell Dockett holds
out in pursuit of a new contract. - Amberly Richardson, AzRedReport.com

Adam Caplan's Take |
The mammoth end should have no problem transitioning to Arizona's 3-4 scheme. He'll provide some instant depth this season and he could compete for a bigger role as time progresses.
