Quarterback
Daunte Culpepper - He's only had one free agent visit (Green Bay Packers) but he was offered a contract.
Byron Leftwich - He hasn't had one free agent visit which kind of tells you
what teams think of him at this point.
Quinn Gray - He failed to keep a third string job with the Houston Texans so
that's not a good sign. If Cleo Lemon continues to struggle, it's not out of the
question Gray could wind up back with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Tim Rattay
Jamie Martin - He still wants to play.
Jared Lorenzen - The New York Giants released him recently. The "hefty lefty"
could still challenge for a No. 3 job with another team.
Craig Nall
Running Back
Cedric Benson - Despite his misgivings, you're looking at a talented
back who fits in a power rushing scheme.
Travis Henry - He might have a hard time finding a starting job again
after what transpired over the last year with the Denver Broncos.
Shaun Alexander - He struggled mightily last season and may have to wait
until training camps start in late July in order to find a new home.
Kevin Jones - The New England Patriots had him in for a visit but Jones wants
more than a one-year, veteran minimum type of deal.
Ron Dayne - Despite performing well for the Houston Texans the past two seasons,
Dayne remains unemployed.
Najeh Davenport - The bulky back should be able to find a job once some teams
start to lose backs due to injury in training camp.
Mike Anderson - He may decide to retire and he's also suspended four games by
the NFL.
Anthony Thomas -
Verron Haynes
Samkon Gado - He worked out for the New England Patriots recently but it's
believed he wasn't offered a contract.
Kick/Punt Returners
Eddie Drummond (KR/PR)
Tim Dwight (KR/PR)
Troy Walters (PR)
Josh Scobey (KR)
Tyson Thompson (KR)
Reshard Lee (KR)
Fullback
Lorenzo Neal - The veteran blocker still wants to play but hasn't had much
interest in his services of late.
Dan Kreider
Wide Receiver
Chris Henry - The talented but troubled receiver has yet to have a free agent
visit since being released by the Cincinnati Bengals.
Eddie Kennison - He recently told Sirius NFL Radio that he's interested
in playing at least two more seasons.
David Givens - His career is in doubt after suffering a serious knee injury
almost two years ago.
Koren Robinson - The troubled but talented receiver should find work closer to
training camp.
Cedrick Wilson - He'll serve a one-game suspension to start the regular season.
Taylor Jacobs - He was let go by the Denver Broncos recently. Jacobs is yet
another former player who played under Steve Spurrier who hasn't performed well
at the NFL level.
Doug Gabriel - He was recently released by the Cincinnati Bengals.
Eric Moulds - He's received mild interest around the league.
Peerless Price - He's probably done playing because of a neck injury.
Keenan McCardell - His stellar career may be over.
Aaron Moorehead
Tight End
Christian Fauria - He's strictly a blocking tight end.
Aaron Walker
Teyo Johnson
Ryan Neufeld
Tim Euhus
Bennie Joppru
Mike Seidman
Offensive Tackle
Shane Olivea - His four-game suspension was rescinded by the NFL recently.
Fred Miller - It's not known if he still wants to play but as far as we can tell, he
hasn't had a free agent visit since the Chicago Bears released him.
Jordan Black - The Houston Texans released him recently. Black is capable of
backing up at right and left tackle.
Stockar McDougle - He's coming back from a torn Achilles tendon.
Wayne Gandy - He may be done playing.
Barry Stokes (G)
Mike Rosenthal
Nat Dorsey
Guard
Chris
Naeole - Maurice Williams and Uche Nwaneri are competing for his left guard
position with the Jacksonville
Jaguars.
Larry Allen - The belief is that he's leaning toward retirement.
John Welbourn
Rick Demulling
Chris Liwienski
Ruben Brown
Todd Steussie (T)
Center
LeCharles Bentley (G) - He claims to be healthy enough to compete for a
starting job.
Mike Flynn
Mike Flanagan
Tyson Walter
Mike Pucillo
Kicker
John Carney - We're told he definitely wants to play. Two possibilities,
later in training camps, are the with the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs.
Dave Rayner - He was recently waived by the Miami Dolphins.
Billy Cundiff - He was released by the Kansas City Chiefs recently. Because
there's a lack of available talent at kicker, Cundiff should be able to find a
job.
Morten Andersen - Even though he turns 48 in late August, Andersen hasn't
officially retired.
Aaron Elling - He's primarily looked upon as a kickoff specialist.
Punter
Scott Player - He spent a few weeks with the New England Patriots recently.
Mitch Berger - He played five games with the Arizona Cardinals last season.
Chad Stanley - He was recently released by the Indianapolis Colts.
